This was funny to do. Looking at it randomly, I must look like my TV choices are just ALL over the board. But when you factor in that some were watched out of boredom while doing my 6 week hospital stay and some were shows I watched with my kids... well... I hope that helps explain some of the weirder choices. Lol.

Grand Opening...

And believe me... with THIS cast... we have MANY "grand openings"...

But I am talking about our production of Little Shop Of Horrors! I think that for the most part it went well. I played 4 roles for opening night. I was an working class bum in "Down On Skid Row", a customer in a few of the flower shop scenes, one of the plant leaves during the finale, and my personal favorite... the sadistic Dentists' Nurse. I gotta admit, I love being beaten up by Bart (last night) and Jeff (tonight).

Tonight I get to play Mr. Mushnik, the Skid Row Flower Shop owner. I am very excited about this role... and have been told by several people how screen accurate I have been during rehearsals. Our other Mushnik was asking me for advice all night during the show last night. I only worry that somehow that is going to make me truely suck tonight... lol. But I got a major compliment when one of our cast members gave me a huge hug last night after the show, and whispered to me "I wish you had been my Mushnik". AWWW! Well, after tonight there are 4 more shows... so I am sure that I will get a night or two with this person, as well as with everyone.

Here is a cast photo from last night... taken by The Official Rich Weirdoes Groupie, Kelly. Most everyone is done up in there costumes for the finale, which is when we are all a part of the plant. That is why most everyone is in green. I was, too, but changed for the photo. I am all the way on the right, in my delightfully screen accurate uniform.

Happy 4th birthday to the greatest pup on the planet... my dog, Peanut! We went out and got him carob and vanilla doggie cookies, flavored biscuits, a new Rope Toy, and a new squeek toy... Buddy the Bunny. We also got him a new "Peanut's Pillow". He seems very happy. Happy birthday Baby. Mommy and Daddy love you very much!

I have a clock in my house that has an almost dead battery. It has enough life right now that the second hand keeps clicking, but never making it actually to the next position. It looks funny. I find it tremendously amusing that the simple idea of having a "broken" clock in my living room tickled me so greatly...

Yay for a brief non-depressed moment!

Little Shop Of Horrors casting is up! I got Mushnik (along with Timber) and on my off nights I get to be the Dentist's Nurse!! I love her (albeit brief) role!

In addition to those, I will be performing ensemble roles as street people, etc, as needed. I love bit parts! I love ensemble roles! I love being on stage!

Make sure you are all free to come and see The Rich Weirdoes performing Little Shop Of Horrors the first weekend of June (1st & 2nd), July (6th & 7th), and August (3rd & 4th) 2007... at Midnight... of course!

Don't say I didn't give you enough notice... lol.

Dear Friends...

I'm old. I'm tired. And even thought I have been resting my pretty little head this week (and a lot of last week)... I am still fucking exhausted. So as such, I am going to be bowing out of stuff for the rest of the month. Bowing out of what? I have no idea. I still have a party to go to that I refuse to miss. I still have a concert to go to that I refuse to miss. I still have work to go to that I refuse to miss. I still have rehearsals to go to that I refuse to miss. And I still have my Tuesday nights which I refuse to miss. So what kind of spare time does that free up for me so that I can rest? "Absolutely Nothing!"

Okay, so Tom and I are at the Magic Kingdom on Sunday, right? And we are sitting on some benches down by some water, waiting on me to catch my breath, when up swims some ducks. I (being me...) begin to talk to them, telling them what pretty ducks they are and stuff like that, when they come out of the water to investigate me.

I get really excited that I am now receiving attention from such friendly creatures, that I stick out my hand, and the ducks come closer. I call them to me, encouraging them to take a nibble and bite me. Lol. Crazy? Sure... but it was damn funny.

It took quite a bit of encouragement... but I finally got one of them to muster up the courage and come over for a few nibbles. Yay me! After a minute, the other one got jealous and had a nibble or two as well. It didn't hurt or anything, but I wanted to make SOME sort of face for the camera... lol.

So that's me... after getting my index finger nibbled by a couple of Disney Mallards!

This is so true. When Peanut adopted me, I was a happy person by nature, but whose soul was trapped in a very dark place. I credit him with leading me out of my depression 90%. The meds helped and G helped, but Peanut will always be my knight in fuzzy armor on that subject. Thanks Snout. Mommy loves you.
